This grand development located in the Singapore CBD marks the entrance of gaming into Singapore to cement the city as a premier destination in Asia. PSI was responsible for the master planning, detail design and construction observation for the entire project, including the convention center, casino, theaters, external promenade and flyovers as well as the three hotel towers complete with a 300 meter "SkyGarden" located 57 stories about the ground. Intricate coordination with the various other consultants made this project extremely challenging. The project has become a crown jewel for PSI as well as the city of Singapore.
PSI provided irrigation construction documentation for a 72 acre destination resort hotel and convention center. Our design solutions included a large low volume irrigation system for expansive show gardens at the resort. Half of the landscape plantings were in an interior glass atrium requiring innovative irrigation approaches. PSI provided bid assistance, construction observation, and contract administration for the client.
After successfully completing Opryland Florida, PSI was asked by the Gaylord Entertainment design team to design irrigation construction documents for their second 78 acre destination resort hotel and convention center in Texas. This grand resort included their trademark atrium with intricate landscape and other landscape features include a grass miniature golf course and vineyard.
Sapphire Falls Resort is the latest luxury resort hotel built within the Universal Orlando property. The project includes new roadway improvements, large pool area, site lake and irrigation plantings incorporated into rock waterfalls. Two water supplies are used to keep reclaimed water outside of the pool area and guest areas, where potable water was used for irrigation. The plans were amended to allow for flow management using separate flow sensors and master valves for each control area.
Irrigation master planning and subsequent irrigation construction documents for a 242 acre casino resort. Completed irrigation construction documents for 5 miles of roadway, and a large diameter irrigation infrastructure to service future development, A central controller, irrigation pump station, filtration, chemical injection and wet-well intake structure were also part of the irrigation design solution. PSI also provided bid and contract administration services for the developer.
Part of the Hilton group, this hotel caters to both the corporate and leisure market. This hotel features 220 luxurious guest and Executive Floor rooms, plus 130 suites and serviced apartments. PSI was responsible for the detailed design of the irrigation system for the porte-cochere as well as the elaborate pool area located on separate floors of the project. Pump station and storage tank sizing and location were critically important as well as coordinating with building MEP for routing pipework through the building to the various landscape areas. Drip irrigation techniques are utilized to maximize efficiency and to help maintain the landscape in peak condition for this first class hotel.
Shades of Green is owned and operated by the US Department of Defense for the exclusive use of military personnel and their families. The resort expansion included a revised entry feature and drive, 35 acre grounds development and a new hotel wing. PSI worked in coordination with WDW Golf staff to interface the new irrigation system with the exiting Palm Golf Course irrigation layout. While Shades of Green is not a Disney World resort, the irrigation system materials and workmanship was required to meet the Disney irrigation standards and specifications. The project required intricate layouts around a central water feature that could not have any irrigation water runoff. Large rock features at the hotel entry required considerable coordination with the rockwork contractor to irrigate pocket plantings in the rock face.
Marriott required a multi-phased development plan on a master irrigation system with a 3 year construction schedule. PSI developed the irrigation master plan and individual system construction documents for the entire 50 acre beachside development. The irrigation systems were separated by tenants and ownership associations while sharing the same irrigation water supply, mainline and control system. The design required PSI to extend control wires for future valve zones and coordinate plans with existing systems from the previous phases of development.
Cabana Bay is a resort hotel at the Universal Orlando Resort. PSI provided irrigation design services for the first phase and second phase of the site over a three year period. The project required extensive roadway irrigation system renovations as part of the new area development project. PSI developed existing irrigation system plans, existing irrigation equipment demo plans as well as the new area development irrigation plans. PSI provided irrigation water use estimates to assist the civil engineers’ utility drawings.
